So I finally got around to installing Snow Leopard after I re-partioned it for GUID as per my last post. Install went smooth as silk. I chose to do a custom install to deselect X11 and language options to save some disk space. So far, like most reviews you’ll see, nothing much has changed on the surface. Most of what has though is under the hood.
What I do like though so far is:
- Seems more responsive
- Love the ability to nicely add my gCal account in iCal
- Holy cow Aperture is FAST! I mean like just amazingly so much faster.
- Display the date in the menu bar with the time… yay!
- More free disk space… nice!
I still can’t get over how much faster Aperture is. So far a very worthy upgrade in my book.
