So my shiny new copy of Snow Leop www.macnotes.com.ebozavr.com a rd arrived promptly via FedEx Friday afternoon. I popped in the DVD and after a few seconds learned that for some reason my startup disks partition had originally been formatted using the now depreciated Apple Partition Map instead of the more widely used GUID partition type. As such my plan now is to boot from a cloned backed up external USB drive and repartition my startup disk as a GUID partition, clone my backup back to the startup disk and then try to install Snow Leopard. I’m fairly certain it will work, but what a hassle. Hopefully my next post will be from Snow Leopard!
